Sunit Kabaria, MD
Dr. Kabaria co-founded KHCNJ in 2002 after completing his Nephrology training at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He is board-certified in Nephrology and is currently the medical director of the DaVita - New Brunswick dialysis unit. He has served as the division chief of Nephrology at Robert Wood Johnson – Somerset and has has been named a Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
Bijal Desai, MD
Dr. Desai completed his training in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and then completed his subspecialty in Nephrology in 2002. He co-founded KHCNJ. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology and has been named Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly magazine on many occasions. Despite integration of technology, Dr. Desai feels that patient care still requires a deep personal relationship that can only be achieved with education and mutual dialogue.
Sandesh Jain, MD
Dr. Jain completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Nephrology at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ in 2005. He is a board-certified Nephrologist who is also a designated specialist in Clinical Hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the peritoneal dialysis program at the Davita-Franklin Park dialysis facility. He has appeared on the NJ Top Doctor list in New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Other honors include the Patient Choice Award, and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. He has also received the On-Time Doctor Award for his promptness and short waiting room times.
Rick Vaghasiya, MD
Dr. Vaghasiya is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. After graduating from college magna cum laude, he attended Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine) in Philadelphia. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and his Nephrology Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital – Northshore Long Island Jewish Health System. His areas of particular interest include Chronic Kidney Diseases, Diabetic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, Kidney Stone Management and Disorders of Sodium Imbalance.
Samina Sarwar, DO
Dr. Sarwar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She attended New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly NYCOM) and was enrolled in the Academic Medicine Scholars Program. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Northwell Health’s Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. She graduated from the Nephrology Fellowship program at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Sachin Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He completed his Nephrology fellowship at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ in 2018 and joined the Kidney and Hypertension practice in 2019. His areas of special interest are hypertension and glomerular renal disease.
